Mark & Nicki approached Inside to help them create a modern extension to their 1900’s era Thorndon villa. Our approach was to focus the living space in the extension and keep the bedrooms in the villa which allowed the freedom for the extension to open out to the patio and leave the cosy charm of the original house intact for the private spaces. The extension has the western elevation composed entirely of sliding glass screens which can be drawn back to allow a seamless connection to the internal courtyard or pulled closed when the Wellington wind gets too boisterous.
